Voron 0.1 Build

In the summer of 2018, I bought my first 3D printer – an Ender 3. I upgraded it and maintained it (and continue to maintain it), using it for many projects, including my CNC build. Towards the end of 2021 I decided I wanted to upgrade to something faster. It was then I decided to build a Voron 0.1.

I built and calibrated it over break, but ran out of time to finish it. I didn’t have time during the school year, but when summer rolled around, I got it up and running.

The Voron’s first Print

When I hit print, everything worked the first time. I still had to complete some calibration, but I had assembled it correctly. It took a while, but I was able to get Klipper set up properly, and able to print decently fast. I’m still finalizing the calibration, as it will sometimes fail partway through a print, but that’s always an ongoing process. Most of what I have left to do is continue to upgrade it until I’m printing as fast as I know it can.
